November 2021: Balancing with Ballancer

November 2021: Balancing with Ballancer

+ Dave Asprey and Chrissy Teigen

We are now approaching the holiday season, a time for gratitude and joy. But, if we’re honest, between the rush of purchasing gifts, cooking, attending work gatherings, school parties, and family dinners, many of us find it difficult to appreciate November, December, or January. We’re more stressed and worn thin than ever.

During this time, finding a healthy balance sometimes feels impossible, and our bodies often pay for the added stress. Thankfully, we all can adopt practices that help us feel more balanced. At Bluestem, our favorite tool for this time of year is the Ballancer Pro.

In short, the Ballancer Pro is the world's most advanced lymphatic drainage massage system and compression therapy! But we do realize that perhaps you still feel like you don’t know what it does, which is all the more reason we wanted to share this in the blog with you.

The most noticeable aspect of the Ballancer is that, upon first impression, it looks hilarious. We’ve heard it referred to as a spacesuit, marshmallow suit, high-tech sleeping bag, and even “thigh-shrinking miracle trousers” (more on that in a minute). But we promise that even with all the fun names, the Ballancer provides way more benefits than humor.

Take for reference, Dave Asprey. When this man is seen wearing something that looks abnormal, no one is surprised, but we automatically know there’s some scientific health-related aspect involved.

Renowned biohacker Dave Asprey, founder of BulletProof coffee and Upgrade Labs, enjoys a session in the Ballancer Pro.

At Bluestem, we could only hope to be as cool as Upgrade Labs, of course. However, we do have some things in common, primarily our love for the Ballancer.

Since “Wellness made simple '' is the core of everything we do at Bluestem, you already know that the Ballancer is another service that provides improvement for a number of conditions. A Ballancer Pro treatment reduces water retention, bloating, inflammation and lymphedema, and alleviates after-workout soreness. The power is in its simplicity.

When you arrive for your first Ballancer session, we discuss your goals. We assist you in getting comfortable wearing the device. During the first minute of the session, the Ballancer senses your body before starting your selected program. You will feel the Ballancer inflate, beginning with your feet. You get to choose the pressure that you feel on your skin. We assist you in increasing or decreasing the pressure to your comfort level. All you have to do is lie down, relax, and enjoy your session. The Ballancer will continue the pattern of inflating and deflating, from your feet to your abdomen, resulting in a relaxing lymphatic massage.

The personalized experience is made possible by 12 overlapping, vacuum-sealed chambers composed of a nanocoated antibacterial lining on each side of the Ballancer. Each chamber contains sensors that interact with the computer inside the unit. An FDA-approved medical device from Germany, the Ballancer draws a distinct difference from any products developed for consumer use in a non-clinical setting.

The lymphatic system is the sewage system of the body. Like the circulatory system, the lymphatic system transfers material throughout the body. However, instead of blood, the lymphatic system carries waste through the body to be removed. Moreover, unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system does not contain a heart to create pressure and pump the waste. The lymphatic system instead relies on smooth (involuntary muscle) and skeletal muscle (the muscle you control through movement) to do the pumping. Realizing this, it’s easy to see how lymphatic movement is a key benefit of exercise!

However, for various reasons, the lymphatic system can become sluggish. Now that you know how and why the Ballancer works, we hope it becomes easier to understand the benefits. The Ballancer acts as an external heart for the lymphatic system, in a sense. It “pumps” the lymphatic fluid symmetrically from your limbs into the lymphatic ducts in your abdomen to be removed. It’s essentially a hug, for your entire body.

The top half of the Ballancer works in exactly the same way as the bottom, pumping the fluid from your hands into your abdomen. However, the bottom and top treatments occur in separate sessions.

Since the Ballancer enhances one of our body’s core processes, the results are powerful. Clients who find exercise difficult can still keep their lymph flowing and help avoid the compounded health effects of sluggish lymph. Additionally, many clients love the Ballancer’s ability to counteract bloating and reduce fluid retention, resulting in both a slimming effect and decreased digestive discomfort, or discomfort from lymphedema in the limbs. The massage also stimulates circulation that reduces the appearance of cellulite. In fact, the Ballancer is often used to prepare for events where clients wish to improve aesthetically. Since the massage also helps remove lactic acid, it’s great for athletic recovery.

You can click here ( to see some of our favorite videos of the Ballancer in action outside Bluestem, from an NFL wide receiver’s recovery, to an appearance on The Doctors. Conveniently, you can also schedule an appointment there.

If you start to feel out of balance in the coming weeks, we’ve got you covered. If you feel some bloating from the holiday parties or sluggishness from being out of your normal exercise routine, we would love for you to experience the power of the Ballancer for yourself.

After all, Chrissy Teigen wears a lymphatic body massage jacket and will not apologize for it, and neither should you! Dave Asprey, professional athletes, Jennifer Aniston, Lady GaGa and Bluestem Wellness. We all have one thing in common: we all love the Ballancer.

If you made it this far, we want to treat you to 10% off your next visit! This includes products and services. Just mention this at checkout and feel free to share this easter egg with friends and family!
